Bayfarm Island
It’s just short of 6 miles around the Island, or it’s 2 miles each way from the ferry terminal to the bridge. Either way, it’s flat and has bay views. The 2 mile section is the nicest part of the run. We either park at the ferry terminal, or in the side street next to the bridge. The later is preferable in that it’s closer to Oakland. The ferry terminal has water, bathrooms and more parking (free on weekends as the ferry doesn’t run then).
Sights along the way include: nice bay views and bird life, a long section between a golf course and the airport, the raiders head quaters (sometime you can hear the bone snappy thuds from behind the fence), colored water fountains (mostly blue), and the Peets coffee factory.
Other than that, it’s where we go when we need flat and boring.
Distance: Just short of 6M around the Island (or a nice 4M out and back)
