		<description>I added a link at the bottom of my post. Seems like an ok gps signal (full view of the sky, ha!), but the usual grain of salt applies to GPS based elevation profiles. 

The two miles from mile 6.5 to 8.5 followed by the knock out blow at mile 9. That&#039;s what makes it tough!</description>

		<description>Did your Garmin provide a decent elevation profile of the course? It would be nice to see home much of a net uphill it is on the way back. If it is, that could be included in the information to runners. A lot of people seemed to run out of steam quite close to the finish. Most got there OK by walking the uphills. Looks like at least one needed to sit down for a while.</description>

		<description>Yep, run to finish seems to have been the order of the day. I didn&#039;t notice the hat dip - nice touch. 
I think you were right to use HR as a guide. I Googled it, and elevated HR is associated with heat stroke, which makes sense.</description>
